How to download the Dafabet app — and check the APK is genuine
The Dafabet app for Android is an APK file that you download from Dafabet's mobile site. It is not a Google Play download, and the dozens of "Dafabet APK" pages in search results are not where the file comes from. On iPhone there is no file at all: you add the mobile site to your home screen.
This page is an independent guide. We do not host the file, we are not Dafabet, and nothing here asks for your login. It covers the download, the one-minute checks before you tap Install, and the errors people actually hit.
The button opens a partner sportsbook, a separate site from Dafabet. 18+ only.

The short answer
Question | Answer (checked September 2026) |
|---|---|
Is there a Dafabet app for Android? | Yes, as an APK from Dafabet's mobile site |
Is it on Google Play? | Listings named "Dafabet" in Indian results come from other publishers — check the developer line |
Is there an iPhone app file? | No APK on iOS; use a home-screen shortcut to the mobile site |
Minimum Android version | Dafabet's download page lists Android 7.0 |
What to check before installing | Where the file came from, the app name on the install screen, the permissions it asks for |
What never to do | Install a "mod" APK, or type an OTP into a page you reached from a chat link |
Where the Dafabet APK actually comes from
There is one source for the Android file: the apps or download section of Dafabet's own mobile site. Everything else in search results is a copy of that file, an older copy, or something that only borrows the name.
APK portals — the sites with "latest version", "old version" and "download for Android" in the title — re-host files uploaded by someone else. Even when the file started out genuine, you cannot tell who uploaded it or whether it was repackaged on the way. A "mod APK" is modified by definition. For an app that holds your money and your ID documents, a modified build is a hard no.
Pages dressed as Google Play listings on unrelated websites are the other trap. Several results for Dafabet searches in India are exactly that: a green "Install" button and star ratings on an address that is not Google Play. Google Play lives at play.google.com and nowhere else. If the address bar shows anything else, it is not the Play Store, however familiar the page looks.
The simplest rule: reach the mobile site from the search result that Google labels as Dafabet, or from a bookmark you saved on a visit you trust. Do not start from a link someone sent you in WhatsApp or Telegram.
Download and install on Android, step by step
- Open Dafabet's mobile site in Chrome from the Dafabet-labelled search result, not from a message link.
- Open the menu and find the apps section. Dafabet lists its apps there — the sportsbook and the casino products may be separate downloads, so pick the one you need.
- Tap the Android download. Chrome may warn that the file type can harm your device. That warning appears for every APK outside Google Play; it is not a verdict on this file.
- Allow the install for Chrome only. Android asks you to let Chrome "install unknown apps". The switch is per app, so you are not opening the whole phone.
- Read the install screen before you tap Install. It shows the app name and, on most phones, what the app will be able to access. Checks for this screen are in the next section.
- Switch the permission back off. After the app is installed, return to the same setting and turn "install unknown apps" off for Chrome.
Where the "install unknown apps" switch lives varies by phone:
Phone | Usual path |
|---|---|
Samsung (One UI) | Settings → Apps → ⋮ → Special access → Install unknown apps → Chrome |
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO (HyperOS, MIUI) | Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Chrome → Install unknown apps |
Vivo / iQOO (Funtouch, OriginOS) | Settings → Security & privacy → More security settings → Install unknown apps |
Realme / OPPO (ColorOS) | Settings → Apps → Special app access → unknown sources list → Chrome |
Pixel and stock Android | Settings → Apps → Special app access → pick Chrome under unknown apps |
Menu names shift between versions. If the path above does not match, search your Settings for "unknown apps".
Check the file before you tap Install
These checks take about a minute and catch almost every fake.
Where did the file come from? Open Chrome's downloads list. The download shows the site it came from. If that is not the Dafabet mobile site you opened in step 1, delete the file.
What does the install screen call it? The installer shows the app's own name, not the file name. A file called dafabet.apk that installs as something else is not the Dafabet app.
What does it ask to access? A sportsbook needs the internet, notifications and, for identity checks, the camera. It does not need your SMS inbox, Accessibility, "display over other apps" or device admin. The table below is the quick version.
After install, check App info. Hold your finger on the new icon and open its info screen. Note the version at the bottom and compare it with the version on Dafabet's download page. A very old version is a sign the file came from a portal, not from the source.
For the careful: the signer. Every Android app is signed by its publisher, and Android refuses an update that is signed by someone else — you get "App not installed" or "package conflicts with an existing package". A free APK inspector app shows the signer of an installed app. Once you have a genuine install, an update that fails with that error is telling you the new file is not from the same publisher.
Permissions: what's normal, what's a red flag
Permission | For a betting app | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Internet, network state | Needed | Normal |
Notifications | Optional — odds and bet results | Allow or deny, your choice |
Camera | Only for scanning ID during verification | Allow when verifying, deny otherwise |
Storage / photos | Only to upload ID documents | "Selected photos" is enough |
Read SMS | Not needed — OTPs are typed by you | Red flag: stop |
Accessibility service | Not needed | Red flag: stop |
Display over other apps | Not needed | Red flag: stop |
Device admin | Not needed | Red flag: stop |
Install unknown apps (for itself) | Not needed | Red flag: stop |
An app that asks for any of the red-flag items can read your OTPs or tap on screen for you. Uninstall it and do not log in.
Google Play listings named Dafabet
Search Google Play for "Dafabet" and you may see apps with the Dafabet name or colours. Open the listing and read two things: the developer name directly under the title, and the "About this app" text. At the time of writing, the listings that appear in Indian results describe themselves as learning hubs or sports-statistics apps, not as a sportsbook.
That matches how Google Play works for India: the Android sportsbook is distributed from the mobile site, not through the store. A listing that promises Dafabet betting and deposits from a developer you have never heard of is not Dafabet.
When the app won't install
Message on screen | Usual cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
"App not installed" | An older copy signed by a different publisher is already on the phone, or the download is incomplete | Uninstall the old copy, download again from the mobile site |
"There was a problem parsing the package" | Incomplete download, or Android older than the app's minimum | Re-download on stable Wi-Fi; check Settings → About phone → Android version (7.0 or later) |
A security notice saying installs from this source are not allowed | The per-app switch for Chrome is off | Allow Chrome to install apps, finish the install, then switch it off |
Play Protect: "Unsafe app blocked" / "Harmful app blocked" | Play Protect flags apps outside the store; "harmful" is a stronger verdict | If the file came from the mobile site and says "unsafe", choose "More details → Install anyway". If it says harmful, do not install |
"App not installed as package appears to be invalid" | Wrong file for your phone, or a corrupted copy | Delete it and download the Android build from the mobile site |
Not enough storage | Phone storage full | Free space; the installer needs room for the file and the installed app |
App opens and closes, or loops to the login screen | Outdated build, or cached data from an old copy | App info → Storage → Clear cache; if it persists, uninstall and reinstall the current version |
iPhone: the shortcut route
There is no APK on iOS, and an iPhone cannot install one. The working route is a shortcut:
- Open Dafabet's mobile site in Safari (the shortcut option lives in Safari's share menu).
- Tap the Share icon.
- Choose Add to Home Screen, keep the name, tap Add.
The icon opens the mobile site full-screen, like an app. It updates itself because it is the site. If you come across an App Store listing with the Dafabet name, the same rule as Google Play applies: read the developer line before you install anything.
Updating the app
The app usually tells you when a new version is out and links to the download. You can also update by hand: download the current APK from the mobile site and install it over the existing app. Your settings stay; you may need to log in again.
If Android says "App not installed" during an update, the new file and the installed app were signed by different publishers. One of them did not come from the source. Uninstall, then install fresh from the mobile site.
App or mobile site?
Android app | Mobile site / iPhone shortcut | |
|---|---|---|
Install needed | Yes, APK | No |
Updates | Manual or prompted | Automatic |
Notifications | Yes | Limited |
Storage used | The install plus its cache | Browser cache only |
Risk of a fake copy | Yes — check the file | Only if you open a lookalike address |
If you only bet now and then, the mobile site or the iPhone shortcut covers the same markets without a file to verify. The app earns its place if you want notifications and a one-tap icon.
FAQ
01
Does Dafabet have an app?
Yes. On Android it is an APK from Dafabet's mobile site. On iPhone you add the mobile site to the home screen through Safari.
02
Is the Dafabet APK safe to install?
The file from Dafabet's mobile site is the genuine app. Copies from APK portals, "mod" versions and files sent in chats are not something you can verify — skip them. Before tapping Install, check the app name on the install screen and the permissions it asks for.
03
Can I download the Dafabet app from Google Play?
The sportsbook is not distributed through Google Play in India. Listings with the Dafabet name there come from other developers; read the developer line.
04
What is the minimum Android version?
Dafabet's download page lists Android 7.0. You can check yours in Settings → About phone.
05
Why does my phone say "App not installed"?
Usually because an older copy from a different source is already installed, or the download did not finish. Uninstall the old copy and download again from the mobile site.
06
Why is Dafa Sports not working?
If the app or site does not open at all, the address may be blocked on your network or you may be on a lookalike address. Our login troubleshooting guide covers both.
07
Is Dafa Sports a different app from Dafabet?
Dafa Sports is Dafabet's sportsbook. Dafabet also runs other products — such as OW Sports and its casino — and some of them come as separate downloads in the same apps section.
